So The Wally is quite smug at times. He is ALWAYS talking about the fun, adventures, and jolly japery when they go on their meanders through the back field and beyond. We watch the hooman and himself open the back gate, and begin their jolly adventures wherever they go.
All we see is The Wally galloping around as though he has found some illicit drug stash and guzzled the lot. He runs that way, then this way, then sniffs about, and chases birds and particularly quick worms.
We have badgered him as to what goes on, and all we get is some smug description of his activities down by a body of water.
He got to run along the river bank chasing frogs, and staring at what he can only describe as an identical dog who lives in the river itself. This dog is exceedingly clever, and always seems to appear when The Wally looks in the water. The Wally jumped in at one point to catch this fiendish hound, and he got what he described as ‘wet’.
He rambled on, at great length, about how trails lined with trees gave him great joy, as he pelted along them at full speed. Batman and myself took note that he is a dog, and could not make full use of the trees, as he is a dog, and crap at climbing.
So these stories gave us some impetus. We decided that next time they went for a meander… We would follow them…
We ran after Hooman and The Wally and caught up with them in the meadow behind the house.
We walked 6 kilometres that day, and enjoyed the whole caper. We’ll see what we did on the walk tomorrow, I think. 🙂
